In resonance with Euridice Zaituna Kala's exhibition, Daylighting: But It's the Water That Speaks, this exploration will focus on the book Décoloniser le droit, by Marine Calmet (ed. Wildproject, 2024). In this work, the author invites us to question the very foundations of modern Western law, which has supported colonialism and today supports extractivism and the destruction of the world. She explores the importance of the diversity of legal norms in the face of ecological challenges, showing how these norms shape environmental preservation. With a pedagogical approach, Marine Calmet emphasizes the need to adapt the law to meet the challenges of a society seeking harmony with nature.
