Jeremy Deller

In 1997, English visual artist Jeremy Deller commissioned arranger Rodney Newton to write scores of cult Detroit acid house and techno tracks to be played by one of Britain's most prestigious brass bands, the Williams Fairey Brass Band (Manchester). Having played at the Trans Musicales that year and toured throughout Europe, the Acid Brass project returns to Rennes to echo the first major retrospective devoted to Jeremy Deller in France for this third edition of Exporama: Art is Magic. Ten musicians from Rennes will be revisiting the scores of this legendary techno brass band!
