Isabelle Arthuis's Fantasies are displayed across several poster campaigns around the Gros Chêne metro station (line B) in Maurepas. These campaigns prefigure the inaugural exhibition of the future Musée des beaux-arts-Maurepas planned for spring 2024. The first campaign consists of about ten black and white portraits, figures photographed within paintings from the museum's collections. It inaugurates Scenes I (public space edition), five cast concrete sculptures by Isabelle Cornaro. Subsequently, Isabelle Arthuis will develop an original series of photographs taken in the Musée des beaux-arts' storage facilities, with the residents of Maurepas. This series presents a novel way of viewing the collection's objects. Through these emblematic images from the Rennes Musée des beaux-arts, Isabelle Arthuis suggests a unique reading of artworks where everyone can project stories and invent new narratives. The project is an invitation to see Art and encounter it while exiting the metro. For Isabelle Arthuis, Fantasies questions our relationship with art, examines its current challenges, and explores ways of seeing, making, and displaying works today.
