Katia Kameli invites Djamel Kerkar for a discussion about their collaborations. They have worked together on several occasions and on the video « Ya Rayi », a work in the Frac Bretagne collection.
There will also be a discussion about other collaborations by Katia Kameli, notably those for the exhibition Le Cantique des oiseaux and with La Criée centre d'art contemporain art for the cycle Lili, la rozell et le marimba.
In conjunction with Katia Kameli's exhibition at La Criée and in partnership with the Frac Bretagne and the DAAC, middle and high school classes are invited to participate in the project Des histoires partagées. The short videos by the students of La Binquenais and Le Landry will be screened at 6:00 PM.

Born in 1987 in Algiers,
Algeria Lives and works in Paris, France
After ending his economics studies, Djamel Kerkar turned to cinema by directing two short films: Earth is full of ghosts and Archipel. He then collaborated on the production of fiction films, documentaries, and video installations (including Ya Rayi by Katia Kameli). He directed his first feature film, Atlal, in 2016, which won the First Prize at FID Marseille, as well as two special mentions from the GNCR and the international online critics.
Currently, Djamel Kerkar is developing several projects in hybrid forms, exploring the idea of a memorial cartography. His latest film, Luciole dans le noir du temps, is in development. He is a laureate of the CNC's Innovation Fund and the Cnap's Image/Movement Fund.
